Software Engineer - Rust/C++ High-Performance DSP
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Rust and C++ skills to build a high-performance Linux desktop application for real-time radio signal analysis and visualization.
The system combines DSP → post-processing → UI → GPU rendering, processing large volumes of data with strict throughput and latency requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance, multithreaded DSP and data-processing pipelines in Rust.
- Build custom 2D/3D visualizationusing egui/eframe, wgpu, and WGSL.
- Develop and maintain GNU Radio C++17 blocks and flowgraphs.
- Design high-throughput shared-memory IPC and ring buffers.
- Manage GNU Radio child processes from Rust, including lifecycle and cancellation.
- Prototype and validate DSP algorithms using Python, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Jupyter.
- Profile and optimize CPU, memory, synchronization, and GPU performance.
Requirements
- Strong Rust experience: ownership, lifetimes, multithreading, atomics, synchronization, FFI, and subprocess management.
- Strong C++17 and CMake experience.
- Familiarity with GNU Radioblock APIs and scheduling.
- Experience with ring buffers, shared memory, streaming, and zero-copy architectures.
- Experience with SIMD/vectorizationand performance optimization.
- Experience with egui/wgpu or GPU programming; WGSL is a plus.
- Strong Python/NumPy skills for numerical prototyping and validation.
- Linux development experience.
- Performance-oriented mindset and strong debugging skills.
Nice to Have
- DSP / SDR experience
- FFTs, filtering, detection, IQ processing
- Lock-free or SPSC/MPSC architectures
- rayon / crossbeam
- perf, flamegraphs, RenderDoc
- Qt / Qt Widgets or Qt Quick
- USRP or other SDR hardware
- Rust/C++ hybrid Cargo + CMake projects
